President and Northern California Representative
Pamela Tang MArch '83, SMCE '85

Pamela Tang, AIA | NCARB, M.Arch ‘83, SMCE ‘85, is Managing Director of Portfolio Management Technology, an investment advisory firm in San Francisco.  Pamela graduated from Wellesley College where she majored in Architecture and Economics. She has more than twenty years of board experience and has served multiple terms as trustee at San Francisco University High School and Chinese American International School.

Mina Marefat, D.Phil '88

Mina Marefat is a registered architect, urban designer, and an architectural historian practicing in Washington. She conducts and publishes original research on modern architecture and urbanism. She holds a PhD from MIT, a Masters in Architecture and Urban design from Harvard University and an Urban Planning degree from Tehran University.

Sean Z. Kwok, BSAD '97, MArch '01

Sean Z. Kwok is Director of Design at Arthur C.S. Kwok Architects & Associates, Limited, based in Hong Kong. AKAA is an award-winning architectural firm that provides multi-disciplinary consultancy services in architecture, interior design, urban planning, furniture design and project management.

Kim Vermeer ‘82

Kim Vermeer, VP of Membership, is the owner of Urban Habitat Initiatives, located in Boston. UHI is committed to advancing sustainability in multifamily housing.

Focusing on affordable housing UHI strives to expand the social equity of sustainable building and to bring the benefits of sustainability to traditionally underserved communities.

Kenneth Namkung, MArch ‘03

Kenneth Namkung is Senior Associate at Studio Link-Arc, based in New York City. In addition, he serves as Vice President for Educational and Cultural Programs for the MIT Club of New York, and is deeply involved in MITArchA activities and events for New York area Course IV alumni.

Olivia Huang, MArch '18

Olivia Huang is an architectural designer at Goody Clancy in Boston, MA. Some of the most inspiring people she has ever met have been through MIT. She volunteers with MITArchA to help people continue that experience, even after graduation.

Marilys R. Nepomechie, MArch '83

Marilys R. Nepomechie, M.Arch '83, is Professor of Architecture and Associate Dean of Strategic Initiatives in the College of Architecture + The Arts at Florida International University. 

Her writing, research, urban design, and building projects focus on the cultural, social, and environmental contexts of design.

Greg Turner ‘74, MArch ‘77

Greg Turner, President of Turner Duran Architects, is Past President of the MIT Alumni Association, and earned a Bronze Beaver award in 1996 for his many volunteer efforts on behalf of the Association, his class, the MIT Corporation Development Committee, and the Alumni Club of South Texas.

Melissa Marsh, MArch '04

Melissa Marsh is the Founder and Executive Director of Plastarc, based in New York City. She is is a recognized expert in Workplace Strategy and Change Management services, and has defined her career in workplace innovation by incorporating real estate strategy into design, architecture and master planning projects around the world.

Constance Bodurow SMArchS '91, MCP '91

Constance Bodurow, AIA, AICP, CUD is Founding Director of studio[Ci] LLC, an award winning Detroit-based WBE transdisciplinary design collaborative committed to relevant, sustainable change in communities large and small.

Paul Pettigrew, MArch '88

Paul Pettigrew is Coordinator of Undergraduate Initiatives & Manager of Special Projects at the MIT Department of Architecture, and is the founder of Paul Pettigrew Architect & Products in Space,  a design and fabrication practice based in Chicago & Cambridge. Paul has been designing relationships between cities, buildings and functional objects for the past 28 years.

Jacob E. Kain, MArch '00

Jacob Kain, AIA, is a Project Architect at Elkus Manfredi and has been involved in MIT alumni activities for many years.

Before founding MITArchA, Jacob was the president of the MIT Club of Wisconsin. He lives in Boston with his wife Lora Kim, M.Arch '02, and his two children.

William A. Gilchrist, '77, MArch '82

William A. Gilchrist is the Director of Planning and Building for the City of Oakland, CA. His civic work includes a portfolio of award-winning projects in Birmingham and New Orleans as well as community designs in cities across the nation. He was inducted into the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows in 2006 for his distinction as an architect in public service.

Emily Huang, MArch '91

Emily Huang founded Huang Iboshi Architecture in San Francisco, CA, practicing the values of Northern California regional architecture.

Raised in Taipei, Taiwan and Gainesville, Florida, she holds a Master of Architecture from MIT, a Master of Construction Management, and a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida. Emily served as board member at the Society for Asian Art, The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco.

Alex Dixon, MArch '14

Alex Dixon is the Co-founder and Head of Product at Monograph, a San Francisco-based software startup building the future of architectural practice operations. An MIT-trained architect, designer, and software developer, he previously worked with startups and architects as a partner at the digital agency Dixon & Moe.

Angeline Jacques, MArch '20

Angeline C Jacques is an architectural designer at SITIO Architecture + Urbanism in Philadelphia. She volunteers with the MITArchA board to help cultivate the network of creative MIT students and alumni, particularly emerging professionals. Angeline is a New Hampshire native and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Princeton University.
