Grasshopper/Rhino Customer Success Engineer: Spatio Metrics (Remote)

Spatio Metrics is an all-in-one platform for design analysis and data visualization for architects who want to deliver high-impact buildings within project constraints. 

Unlike approaches that require designers to maintain custom scripts or wrangle with excel and PowerBI, Spatio Metrics is easy to use and backed by industry best practices so that they can assess and communicate consistent, data-backed design metrics on every iteration of every project, no matter how tight their deadline.

Where you fit in

This is a part-time, remote role reporting directly to the co-founder/CTO. You’ll be a core member of a small team, playing a crucial role in empowering architects to leverage data to deliver high-impact buildings. In this hybrid customer-facing and technical role, you’ll flex your Grasshopper/Rhino muscle to ensure that customers have delightful and productive experiences using Spatio. 

What you’ll do

  • Help our customers take full advantage of our software. You’ll use your deep technical knowledge to help architecture firms embrace the potential of data-backed design. You’ll manage customer activities such as onboarding, creating success plans, building relationships, and increasing customer usage.

  • Troubleshoot and debug. You’ll be the main point of contact when customers run into challenges using our early-stage software. You’ll debug code directly and do things manually as the “person behind the curtain” when necessary.

  • Use Spatio on behalf of customers. You’ll format plans in Rhino and run analyses on behalf of potential customers using Spatio’s software. 

  • Prototype, test, and optimize spatial analyses. You’ll work to understand customers’ needs and make prototypes of solutions in Grasshopper.

  • Develop onboarding, training, engagement, and presentation materials. You’ll design, test, and iterate on materials that will help customers get the most out of Spatio.

  • Track usage and drive strategy. You’ll maintain analytics on usage to drive strategy for customer engagement and be the voice of our customers to provide feedback to the rest of the internal team.  

What we’re looking for

  • Expertise in Rhinoceros and Grasshopper

  • Excellent written and visual communication skills, including proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite

  • Flexible team player – you’ll be a core member of a small team! Experience in startups is a plus. 

  • >1 year of experience working in an architecture firm

  • [Bonus] - Proficiency in Python and/or C#

  • [Bonus] - Familiarity with Revit and Dynamo

  • [Bonus] - Experience in customer-facing roles. 

How we’ll work together

You’ll work directly with Spatio’s co-founders. We’ll coordinate and collaborate as a team to align on high-level company goals, and then we’ll count on you to do what it takes to get projects over the finish line with minimal oversight. You’ll be the main point of contact with customers and communicate in a timely manner, supporting their needs and deadlines.
