Mid-Level Architectural Designer and Client Development Manager

TriPyramid Structures is a multi-disciplinary design and manufacturing firm employing a team of architects, engineers, and manufacturing specialists. Our projects are typically focused on custom structural systems for facades, stairs, sculptures, and other innovative building components. Our portfolio of work encompasses 30 years of cutting-edge solutions in some of the most iconic buildings worldwide.

We are currently looking for an energetic, creative, and motivated individual with the following interests and qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of work experience in architectural design with a focus on new client development and exploring new sales opportunities.

  • Excited to work in pre- and post-sales environments to solve the technical challenges of today and beyond.

  • Excellent communication skills and eagerness to engage with designers and engineers on a range of project scales and types.

  • Ability to lead the creation and presentation of compelling design and sales packages to clients.

  • Proven modeling and drafting skills in one or more of the following software packages: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino 3D, Inventor, and/or Revit.

  • Experience with scripting for Grasshopper or other advanced parametric design.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Self-driven decision-making in development of conceptual designs as part of sales efforts.

  • Estimating project budgets based on conceptual designs.

  • Ability to intimately understand and effectively communicate design challenges to customers and other project participants.

  • Extraction and communication of relevant project information from architectural, structural, MEP, and BIM sources.

  • Independently coordinate 2-D, 3-D, and BIM level information to share with customers.

  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with customers throughout the AEC community.

  • Politely laugh at bad jokes, dad jokes, and puns.

  • Watch all the architecture shows on Netflix in case our work is featured so we can all rejoice and feel famous.

Bonus Skills:

  • LEED Credentials, or similar.

  • Interest in or experience leading AIA CES Lunch and Learn programs.
