designX is a platform for accelerating innovation in design, urbanism, and the built environment at the MIT School of Architecture + Planning. It works to develop and launch new products, services, and technologies by combining MIT’s creative energy with the talents and experience of industry and the public sector.
The program helps students, faculty, staff, researchers and alumni grow their ventures at any stage of development and foster collaborations across SA+P and MIT. As an entrepreneurship center, designX is unique in its diversity of offerings and its approach to design innovation, combining business development principles and imaginative future thought with design and planning knowledge. It involves academic courses, the exploration of new ideas, and data-informed research.
The event will include a talk by Executive Director Gilad Rosenzweig MCP ’13, as well as three exciting presentations by New York and Boston based startups that went through designX: Spaceus, Multimer, and PrepHub.
Registration fees for this event will be used to cover: travel expenses, catering, and bar service for the event itself.
